One Year Anniversary || Anniversary Photo-Shoot || Fort Rodd Hill

Amazing at how fast a year goes by!  This weekend, my husband & I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary!   We made it!!  Everyone told us the first year is the toughest...

My brother gave a speech at our wedding, ending with 'Cheers to Sharon & Kal - 24/7', as we got married on the 24th of July, well the year was just that, 24/7 of each other, of-course in a good way, the best part of being married!

We did a 'One Year Anniversary Shoot' with the fabulous Jesse Holland, from Jesse Holland Photography,  at Fort Rodd Hill in Victoria, BC.  We wore our wedding outfits, which still fit us, Kal's was loose, mine took a little more work zipping up, I did the good old, 'jump and zip', a few times.  Which brings me to my least favorite part of being married, gaining weight!  We eat the same, which means his portions are smaller, and mine are bigger, hence, his outfit being loose, and mine barely zipping up!  Oh.. the joys of being married!

As I work with brides, I get inspired, with new ideas, new looks, which makes me want to get married all over again (to the same guy of-course), I love everything about weddings! Outfits, jewelry, makeup, hair, photo-shoots, friends, family, gatherings, and dancing....

Happy Anniversary, Mr. Dlay, here is too many many more!

Photographer Glamour Makeover || Victoria Hair & Makeup Artist

Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry had the pleasure to work with the talented, Jessie Holland from Jesse Holland Photography.  This time instead of her taking the images, she was going to be on the other side of the lens, in a photo shoot.  Jesse, doesn't usually wear makeup, so it was exciting to make her over!

We went with strong eyes in deep forest green shades mixed with black giving a smokey effect.  Cheeks & lips were in soft pink tones, with hair teased, in soft waves.  At the end of her style session she looked like a modern day Barbie!  Read her experience on the other side of the lens!

Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry collaborated with Jesse Holland Photography & Rook + Rose Floral Design Boutique for Les & Esme's 55th anniversary.  A beautiful couple, full of live, love and happiness after 55 years of marriage!  As the couple says 'It only gets better with age...'.  Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry arrived on-location to the Alexander Mackie Retirement Community in the Westshore.  Esme's hair & makeup was kept soft and natural, perfecting her skin and defining her eyes.  View images from their anniversary picnic, which were published by Style Me Pretty.
