My cousin recommended Sharon to me when I first started looking for a hair and makeup artist for my wedding. At the very first consultation Sharon was super nice, patient and not pushy at all which was opposite to how other makeup and hair artists meetings had gone. I booked her as soon as I could and the wedding day consult couldn't come fast enough. When it did my mom and I went to Sharon's Studio where we were treated like friends rather than clients. She had treats and tea ready for us and helped me pick out my perfect look along with a fun photo shoot after. Finally the wedding day came and Sharon arrived at my parents house bright and early at 4am. Sharon was calm and cool and had me ready earlier than expected. Investing in Sharon's expertise for our wedding was without doubt the best decision I made. The wedding day preview was a lot of fun and Sharon created the look I had envisioned to a T, really creating a dialogue between us so that we were on the same page with everything. It was great knowing that me and my girls would be more than taken care of on the big day.

Having Sharon & her team come to us took that stressful element away from the day, allowing us all to just enjoy the hours before the festivities started. The look on my husband's face when he first saw me was one that I'll cherish forever, and Sharon played a big part in creating that memory. After Session - Photography after your Wedding Day.

Like every bride, I spent alot on my wedding outfit.  So what to do with it after the wedding?  My husband and I had an After Session, I got to put my wedding outfit on, he put his on, and we had an amazing time, just him & I, with no wedding stress, or drama.  My makeup for the After Session was smoldering and sexy, and hair loose with lots of body.  Why not change your look, get your dress back on, and have a fun photo-shoot with your hubby.  I love my wedding photos, but I love looking through our After Session shoot - there was no schedule, no time constraint, no family.  Just him & I, we reminisced our wedding day, had a few laughs, had a few tears, and got many congratulations, as spectators watched us.  We corrected the first couple, but then just went along with being the 'just married couple'!  My husband enjoyed the session as-well, his skin was perfected, he put on that expensive one-time-wear outfit and he was coached into some GQ poses!  All in All, he wasn't down with us getting married every year, but he said he would do a photo-shoot - I am holding him to it!  

What does an After Session include?

You will be treated to the Ultimate SR Experience, set in our private urban-styled studio.  With makeup application, hairstyling, and a styling session.  Then you and your partner will have a 90 minute couples photo-shoot with guidance, by the talented Jesse Holland, from Jesse Holland Photography.  You will have an on-site stylist, making sure your lips are perfectly glossed, no hair is out-of-place, and your dress perfectly flowing.  You will then view your gallery of images, and choose your top 20, which will be professionally edited, and given to you on a disc.  This will give you an experience and create a memory that you and your partner will cherish for a life time.

Bear Mountain Resort || Victoria BC's Luxury Wedding Location

Kimberly had amazing weather for her August wedding in Victoria, BC.  The Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry team had the pleasure of styling Kimberly and her bridal party at their beautiful Penthouse at the Westin in Bear Mountain.  Meg, from Fetching Images Photography, was her wedding photographer, she did an amazing job on the images, we were lucky enough to be in a few.

Kimberly arrived in-studio for her wedding day preview, with her sister, where we created her look.  A wedding day preview is great to do a month before your wedding, with bonding time with your close friends & family, and a chance to see exactly what you will look like on the day, and how you will photograph.  She wanted a half up half down hairstyle, with dramatic eyes and flawless skin.  Below is an image of her wedding day preview, we made a few changes, for her wedding day.

BC Hydro "the Energy fix' High Definition Makeup Application for Television

Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry was part of BC Hydro's 'The Energy Fix' web-series, produced by On Demand Productions.  The Fernwood Inn in Victoria BC, was the lucky winner, for the $35 000 Energy Efficiency Makeover!

We were on site with the host & actors, styling hair & makeup, with high definition makeup application.  It was a great experience watching the business transformation as it happened, with the crew, cameras, and the staff at the Fernwood Inn!
