Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry had the pleasure to work with the talented, Jessie Holland from Jesse Holland Photography.  This time instead of her taking the images, she was going to be on the other side of the lens, in a photo shoot.  Jesse, doesn't usually wear makeup, so it was exciting to make her over!

We went with strong eyes in deep forest green shades mixed with black giving a smokey effect.  Cheeks & lips were in soft pink tones, with hair teased, in soft waves.  At the end of her style session she looked like a modern day Barbie!  Read her experience on the other side of the lens!

Celebrity Makeup Artist for CBC Sports - Sharon Rai

Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry, was CBC Sports official Makeup Artist for the BMO Canadian Figure Skating Championship.   The event took place at the Save on Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria BC, on January 21 - 23, 2011.  The figure skating was unbelievable to watch, they were all very talented.   An amazing experience, working with high definition television, behind the scenes touchups, the CBC crew, the commentators, and of-course the figure skaters.   We had the opportunity to work with the CBC Celebrities, stay tuned to the blog, to find out who they were, and pictures!

New Years Eve St. Ann's Academy Wedding Makeup Artist - Sharon Rai

New Year Eve weddings are a festive way to ring in the new year!  This year we had the pleasure to work with Jaime Faford, and her bridal party.  Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry arrived on-location to Renes Hair Studio in Victoria, BC.  Rene did a great job on the hairstyles!  With Jaime's makeup, we wanted to create a dramatic and feminine, smokey eye, which was a popular makeup trend for 2010.  We choose neutral colors for her lips and cheeks, so they wouldn't distract from the bold eyes.  

BK Studios Design Photography did an amazing video for the couple, the wedding took place at St. Ann's Academy, they both looked stunning.

Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry was proud to be part of the Victoria Highlanders Women’s first annual calendar, called ‘Beautiful Women of the Beautiful Game‘.  All proceeds from the calendar sales go towards the Women’s Team and their exciting move up to the W-League in the USL.  The girls were a blast to work with, they were given a fresh makeup look, and a polished hairstyle, here is a sneak peak at the calendar shots.

Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry arrived on-location early Saturday Morning, to help Danielle get ready for her wedding.  When the bride was asked, if there was a theme for her wedding or a look she wanted to achieve, she replied 'Wilderness Princess'.  I loved it!  We went for a heavier eye, flawless skin, and a wilderness inspired hairstyle.  The wedding took place in Glendale Gardens, view more pictures of the Wilderness Princess Danielle.
