On-Location Bridal Makeup Artist | Bridal Hairstylist for Brentwood Bay Resort & Spa

Angeigh, our beautiful SR Bride from Australia, arrived in-studio for her Wedding Day Preview three days before the big day!  She loved the 50's looks for makeup and hair, she did her research finding beautiful hairstyles and makeup looks.  From all the looks, we took what we liked best from each one, and created her wedding look, making sure it suited her face shape, dress, style and theme.  The result was amazing, see image below:

The Sharon Rai Hair Makeup Artistry team arrived on-location to the Brentwood Bay Resort & Spa, in Brentwood Bay, BC to stylize Angeigh and her bridal party for her big day!  We recreated Angeigh's wedding look, making a few enhancements!  Below is an image of Angeigh, before getting into her dress.  Im excited to see the wedding images, by the talented, Kim Kalyn Photography.

One Year Anniversary || Anniversary Photo-Shoot || Fort Rodd Hill

Amazing at how fast a year goes by!  This weekend, my husband & I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary!   We made it!!  Everyone told us the first year is the toughest...

My brother gave a speech at our wedding, ending with 'Cheers to Sharon & Kal - 24/7', as we got married on the 24th of July, well the year was just that, 24/7 of each other, of-course in a good way, the best part of being married!

We did a 'One Year Anniversary Shoot' with the fabulous Jesse Holland, from Jesse Holland Photography,  at Fort Rodd Hill in Victoria, BC.  We wore our wedding outfits, which still fit us, Kal's was loose, mine took a little more work zipping up, I did the good old, 'jump and zip', a few times.  Which brings me to my least favorite part of being married, gaining weight!  We eat the same, which means his portions are smaller, and mine are bigger, hence, his outfit being loose, and mine barely zipping up!  Oh.. the joys of being married!

As I work with brides, I get inspired, with new ideas, new looks, which makes me want to get married all over again (to the same guy of-course), I love everything about weddings! Outfits, jewelry, makeup, hair, photo-shoots, friends, family, gatherings, and dancing....

Happy Anniversary, Mr. Dlay, here is too many many more!

Westshore Bridal Makeup Artist || Westshore Bridal Hairstylist

Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry arrived on-location to Isabelle Maltais house in the Westshore to stylize her & the bridal party.  The fairy-tale wedding ceremony took place at the Hatley Castle, in Colwood, BC.  Isabelle and her family arrived in-studio for her Wedding Day Preview, the week of her wedding, where we created her look.  A beautiful updo, incorporating her tiara, with flawless skin, and bronzed toned eyes, we then recreated the look for her wedding day.  Stay tuned for more images from her wedding photographer Melanie from Orange Frog Studios.

Port Alberni Wedding Makeup Artist || On-location Bridal Makeup

Beautiful Port Alberni, an amazing place to get married!  Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry traveled to Port Alberni, BC for Lisa Gray's Wedding which took place on their property on Sproat Lake!  We started on-location in the morning, with the beautiful bridesmaids, the house was very entertaining, as they listened to music, sang, danced, laughed, and shared memories, a great way to spend the morning leading up to the ceremony!  The makeup theme of the bridal party was 'Smokey Eyes with Lots of Lashes", as the bride requested.  Hair was done by the brides talented cousin Lynsey Gray.  Lisa was lucky enough to have her Mother photograph her wedding, the talented, Erica Watson from Stirling Images Photography.  Stay tuned for more images!

Commercial Hairstylist & Commercial Makeup Artist || Victoria BC || Wild Play Element Parks

Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry had the pleasure working with the Westshore & Nanaimo Wild Play Element Parks for their 2011 Campaign Photo-shoot.  We worked with all ages, from five years old, to late fifties, the look was wind blown hair, with natural makeup.  Hair & makeup was done outside on a picnic table, enjoying the beautiful sunny weather, alongside photographers, Derek Ford & John Quick.  Stay tuned for their new brochures, and images!

East Indian Wedding in Victoria BC || Hairstylist & Makeup Artist

Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry arrived early morning to stylize Priya Dhaul for her Wedding taking place in Sidney, BC.  We did a wedding day preview a month prior in-studio to create her look, going through hair, makeup, jewelry, outfit, and photography.  Priya's morning was stress-free as she knew exactly what she was going to look like!  She had a traditional Hindu Wedding at the Mary Winspear Centre, decorated by the talented Hardip Johal of Magical Moments Decorating.  View images of Priya's wedding look on the Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry Facebook Page!
